The Rearcross U10 team made the short journey to Birdhill on Saturday morning to kick off their new season. It was not to be an easy day for the Rearcross side as Birdhill's superior strength was evident from the start. The first goal came for the home side after 6 minutes despite determined defending from the visitors. Rearcross continued to try their best however Birdhill soon added to the score sheet and by half time there was 4 goals between the sides. The second half was not much different and eventually Birdhill finished the game with a clear advantage. Rearcross for their part continued to battle for every ball despite the difference in the scoreline and will no doubt be keen to make amends on their next league outing.
